Indian
Rhubarb
Yosemite, California 1999
It's embarrassing to say how many years I walked along this section
of creek before I saw this composition. I love the look of Indian Rhubarb,
and this area has a lot of it. But I never until this day had found
a vantage point that allowed me to isolate the lush greenery so well.
This was really the feeling I was looking for all those years. As I've
said on other pages, it's sometimes the simple visual story that is
the most effective. This calm, tranquil little creek brings with it
the peace of ages. And the thick, green leaves lining the creek banks
are cool to the eyes.
Oh yes…You can rest here.
